Meet the Author

Born and raised in Boston, Jayne retired early from a business career in New York, indulging a yen to resettle in a gentler clime. She and her husband unpacked the joys of post-corporate life by the marshes of the Lowcountry in Beaufort SC.

Inspired by the many talented writers around her, she began to write short stories in earnest, garnering awards for creating characters who were anything but run-of the-mill.

Her stories, essays, and poetry have been published in Chicken Soup for the Soul, Short Story America [Volume VII], Catfish Stew, and Petigru Review. She has been a winner or finalist in a number of competitions, including the 2022 Southeastern Writers Association Conference, where she won two First Places [for Excellence in Southern Writing and for Inspirational Writing] and a Second Place [for Excerpted Novel].
